Rex Stout: An American Original
Among Rex
Stouts admirers were such great literary stylists as P.G.
Wodehouse, William Faulkner and M.F.K. Fisher. Stout, of course, is
the creator of the immortal detective Nero Wolfe and his
extraordinary leg-man, Archie Goodwin.
Rex Stout:
A Checklist of Primary First
Editions
All of Rex
Stouts early novels are difficult to find in first edition;
Nero Wolfe titles in collector's condition, especially those
published before World War Two, are both scarce and
expensive.
Collecting Georgette
Heyer
Witty, cleverly
plotted, and rich with dialogue and description, Georgette
Heyers books are often pigeonholed as Regency Romances. Thisis
not strictly correct, as she wrote many books set in the Georgian
Period, as well as modern romances, crime novels and mainstream
fiction.
Georgette Heyer:
A Checklist of First
Editions
Heyers
earliest books were first published during the 1920s in the United
Kingdom. Given her popularity throughout the English-speaking world,
it is not surprising that collectable copies in dust wrapper are
truly rare.
